FOSTER AN ANIMAL IN NEED

Sometimes, a dog, puppy, cat, or kitten comes to us and the kennel or our cat area is not the best place for them to be. Older dogs and cats are often frightened in this environment. They need the comfort of a foster home in order to heal physically and emotionally.

Animals that have just undergone a serious surgery or medical procedure benefit in their healing process when it occurs within a foster home.

The spring and summer of the year are a time called “kitten season” by cat rescuers. Stray cats produce litters of kittens who need special care. During this time of year, ARAR accepts hundreds of these newborn kittens. Kittens so young do not thrive in a shelter environment, and they require a great deal of care. At  ARAR, we have many foster homes for our kittens, but more homes are needed so that we can accept additional kittens.
