Things Are Looking Up! Please read

The generosity of people in the community and their love for animals in need never ceases to amaze us. In response to our recent urgent plea for concrete for our large kennel building, a contractor has come forward and has offered to donate the entire project. We are so very grateful.

We turn to the community once again for help to fulfill our duties and needs to make this project a success. The game plan is this – On the weekend of November 14 and 15, we must remove all of the runs and dogs from the kennel building. There are roughly 30 dogs in there now. We will set up the runs that we remove in the indoor riding arena. The project will take about a week to complete. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP US  MAKE THIS MOVE. WE WILL ALSO NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP US MOVE BACK INTO THE BUILDING A WEEK LATER.

Some of the single dog runs, about 12 of them, are in bad shape and should not be placed back in the newly concreted building. These house dogs that, for one reason or another, are best housed separately. WE ARE ASKING FOR DONATIONS OF NEW RUNS OR FUNDS TO PURCHASE NEW ONES. The cost for a heavy duty gage wire run is about $350. We will accept donations in any amount, every bit helps. If someone wishes to donate that amount in honor or in memory of a person or pet, we will put a plaque indicating this on the run. A few of our newer runs were purchased in this manner. Donations should be sent to us indicating that the money should be used for new runs, and if this is a sponsorship, please indicate the particulars and your contact information.

Things are most definitely looking up for the dogs at Angel Ridge Animal Rescue. We have a lot of work ahead of us, and we need your help. Lets all pull together so that we can ring in 2010 with our very own extreme makeover! Thank you and God bless you for caring.
