Barktoberfest - A Howling Success!
Angel Ridge Animal Rescue celebrated the 5th annual Barktoberfest at South Park on October 4, 2009, which is the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of all animals.
Approximately 100 dogs received his special blessing.
A howling good time was had by all of the approximately 350 dogs and their guardians. The Halloween costumes were spectacular! A special thanks to Keystone Canine Agility for their agility demonstration, the American Red Cross for their canine CPR demonstration, and Mr. Dennis Jones, a long time supporter of our rescue who donated his 50/50 raffle winnings back to us.
Thank you, Dennis! From the bottom of our hearts, we thank the volunteers who worked so hard helping us to prepare for this event and who helped during the day on Sunday. Needed funds were raised for Angel Ridge and an incredibly fun filled event was enjoyed by people and pooches.
